The Urban Institute’s Upward Mobility Initiative provides local government and changemakers with the data and insights needed to break cycles of poverty and reduce racial inequities. By leveraging a research-backed framework and mobility metrics, the initiative helps communities create targeted strategies for economic and social progress. To further this mission, the Urban Institute partnered with our team to design a Data Dashboard that would transform complex mobility data into an accessible, actionable tool. After months of iterative design, user-testing, and development, the tool went live in the fall of 2024.
